Rob Croy, from The Table is Yours podcast, returns to talk Horror RPGs and Call of Cthulhu by Chaosium. This episode dives into the system but spends most of its time talking about how to start and maintain a horror game. We spend a lot of time discussing 'horror maps' and other methods to keep the suspense up without letting the terror escape the game. Horror games can be tricky, but a ton of fun when they come together.
We also discuss several great modules by Chaosium that could be adapted to fit your group and even other systems quite easily.

A competitive introverts dream game - Shara returns to chat with us about a game we've all been playing a ton of in our Friday night twitch streams - Roll for the Galaxy. This is a dice chucking, dice pool building sci-fi game that's tons of fun for the type of gamer who doesn't need a lot of interaction or 'screw your neighbor' type play. Born from Race for the Galaxy, Roll for the Galaxy is its far more successful offspring.
We talk basics, clarify some confusing rules, and strategies for the base game and touch on the expansion just a bit.

This week Alec, the admin for the wonderful Facebook group: Fans of Gen Con, joins us to share his passion for the convention, gaming, and the story of the group's path to becoming the best place to find information about Gen Con on the internet.
With the group's size ballooning to 15,000+ users, Alec and his team of moderators enable all things Gen Con to be discussed in a safe way. It's interesting hearing how they tackle everything from repetitive questions to super controversial topics cropping up before, and even during, the convention.
A great episode for certain.

Heather's triumphant return! we talk about a great game she introduced to our Friday night Twitch streams: Dead of Winter. Rich and I love this game, it's crazy fun and pretty tough when you get away from the starter scenario.
It has so many game tags too - worker placement, action economy management, crisis management, pvp, pve, cooperative, betrayal, zombies! but the real star is the fantastic flavor text that draws you into the game and the horrific decisions you make as players.

A bit different today, this episode Rich and I revisit some games we talked about earlier in the year. We know it's a little... dumb? to do a looking back episode after only 6 episodes but hey, Game of Thrones Season 8 is what? 6 episodes? We're just following the greats!
